Description: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Testing Range consists of waters within Narragansett Bay, nearshore waters of Rhode Island Sound, Block Island Sound, and coastal waters of New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. The Testing Range located near NUWCDIVNPT is an area used for research, development, test, and evaluation of Undersea Warfare systems, and, as necessary, to support other Navy and DoD operations.
